Actor Andy Lau To join Iron Man 3

Fresh from winning the coveted Best Actor statuette for Ann Hui's A SIMPLE LIFE at the recent Hong Kong Film Awards, Hong Kong superstarAndy Lau is in final negotiations to play an old friend of Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.), who helps him defeat The Mandarin, in IRON MAN 3.

It is rumored that Andy Lau's unknown role, "represents the technology sector" of China. The main villain, The Mandarin has been long touted for the sequel, although the role has not been cast yet.

If Andy Lau agrees the deal, he will joins an incredible cast including Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley and Jessica Chastain.

IRON MAN 3 is directed by Shane Black, and expected to hit theaters on May 3, 2013.
